(no subject)
Well that was fun *pulls face* random power cuts, just what you always want when you're settling down to catch up on the day in cyberland! And of course BECAUSE it was an actual power cut and not just the computer crashing Word doesn't do the auto-save retrieve thingie! Typical, I'm just glad that I wasn't in the middle of new stuff on Sleeping Dragons or Goddess...would have been a veeeerrry grumpy Sara if random insanity of the world had lost me important stuff.
Although random coincidences can be good, they got me on a five week herbalism course earlier. Was wandering past Spellbound and dropped in to say hi as per usual only to notice a sign on the door advertising this course - five weeks, Saturday mornings, £15 for the lot - instant b'day pressie :) I mean, I like my herbs and use them a hell of a lot but I've never had any sort of training or anything in them so this should be fun, I'm hoping that I can pick up something new and maybe even make some use of it. Apparently it's a course being run by the college through the shop and the teacher is a professional herbalist, not entirely sure if any of the more mystical stuff will come into it (they run classes on Reiki and stuff though so I don't see why not) but even so a little extra on the medicinal front is always worth it.
In other news...the RP witdrawal is kicking in again, no new games to play (Haven and Evergrace suck) so my PS2 isn't fulfilling the craving and no Maelstrom until next year...had a text off Mike earlier asking what I'm doing later this month - I think it's probably about the 'Ling game which would be fantastic but a) am going home this month for birthdayness with parents which curtails other spending (again); b) I'm still stressed about the whole Mike issue and can't help thinking that either he's gonna try and restart things or I'm just gonna get horribly depressed by watching him and Abi being couply; c) I don't have my standard partner in all things faerie and d) I'm not sure if the 'Ling system irritates me or not still - I'm just as likely to mess up by using The Rules rather than the version they set in there... ah well.
I also need to get around to posting a random message at one of the girls on the NWCD list thanking her for putting all the Samhain info up, not that I needed most of it but it did remind me that Obsidian is good for defence against general gribbles, I spy me buying a new stone and one of those little jewelry cage thingies and wearing it lots over the next month or so!
I'm still not feeling exactly settled, kinda weepy at times and just generally blah but I've been a little calmer today at least, less prone to being horribly snappy...more tea is possibly in order, at least that gives me less headaches than the coffee! Speaking of tea, I wonder if Jackie has finished the move yet, I could do with getting to talk to her but I'd far rather she called me 'cos I can never remember what time she finishes work in the afternoon and by the time I remember in the evening she's likely to be in bed (she works crazy early shifts).
Hmm, still no sign of the new 9LMM strip which sucks and of course OMG is as up to date as ever...heh, spot the shameless plugs for many online comics...they're worth the wait honest...as is OOTS but they all only really make sense if you know what they're talking about....Ok, most things only make sense if you know what they're talking about but....oh hell go look for yourselves and see!
Well after all of that I'm going to sign off and actually DO something...and then possibly throw books at a Muppett and make him run something.
