(no subject)

Well today was interesting...we didn't quite come near to Muppet's record but it was insanely irritatin/funny nonetheless. There was a craft thing on at the Reebok stadium in Preston (Lancs). We were going with Liz (friend of maternal type not anyone that anyone knows). Now the day started out badly when Liz realised she'd forgotten her ticket, so the journey was already half an hour longer than it should have been when we went via Bainbridge to collect said ticket. Anyway, her husband printed us a route out from the AA site, all well and good...well it would have been if it hadn't taken us via Lancaster and Ulverstone...many miles in the wrong direction! We ended up travelling 168 miles to get there and another 70 something back. If we'd gone the right direction to begin with the round trip would have taken less than 150 miles! The funniest bit was possibly the disclaimer on the route...something about AA taking no responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise useability of the route given...but please report any errors so they can improve the service for future users!

Anyway, we got there, it was fun. My mum (sweetheart that she is) gave me £20 to spend then another fiver when I was dithering about buying something...it was legitimate dithering not fishing for cash but I wasn't going to say no! So the result is that I have fun new face-paint (and everything else paint - fabric etc) and some very pretty beads. The beads are for Jenet to have new pretties to match her new dress and the paints will of course have to be tested to their full potential by much girlyness!

I'm still feeling more than a little ick so this is a short entry, just had to record the insane journy for posterity...Hey it's more than you usually get from me while I'm up here! (Reason being that my dad is at the boat and therefore not hogging the net)
