Jan. 28th, 2006 12:31 pmMeh, the writing thing is still not going well, I have a few more situations/reactions laid out but I just need some time to sit and devote to working on it where I'm not at work or being distracted by Diablo 2/New stuff arriving from eBay/The promise of RP. Maybe I can get some written up this afternoon, if I can sneak out of work a little early then so much the better.
That 'W' word is really starting to get to me at the moment, don't get me wrong I still love the job but I've had 30 hours on my rota this week before sleepins...There are two major issues with this, 1. I'm only contracted for 10 and 2. I'm only ALLOWED to work 24! It's because we're still double staffing shifts after the incident but it is getting a little beyond a joke, if this keeps up then it will play merry hell with our benefits and leave us utterly screwed when it drops back to normal. There are two solutions to this, I talk to Sammy and make sure I have less hours in future or I talk to the benefits people and Sammy about going full time. I'm not sure which conversation I like the idea of less.
The stress it has been engendering is leaving me tired and irritable, I think that's another reason why my creative juices seem somewhat sluggish at the moment. Maybe if I set next week as my target for completing this short story thing. If I can do 50,000 in a month I'm pretty sure that I can do 10,000 in a week!
Rah...Ok, run out of steam without going on to major ranting. Guess I should sign off for now, I have work this afternoon and stuff to get ready for it.
