Dec. 7th, 2004 12:16 pmOh yeah, the original fluffy post that I promised myself yesterday...
Please excuse the spelling, it may not be exactly early but given my general nocturnalness recently it feels it!
For some unknown reason I seem to be developing a reputation amongst my regular RPGing crowd...they seem to be under the impression that I'm not safe to have around power, I might just wind up with all of it! This isn't helped of course by my dear Jackie taking pleasure in regaling various people who think I'm just sweet and innoffensive with the stories about Alana, Kelly, Akhara, Jenet, and quite possibly Bree as well...none of them wanted the power they got, it just got given to them and there was no one they could pass it on to!
Alana - Toreador, had most of her clan believing she was sweet and brainless because it was safer that way. The Prince of Leicester dies/disappears/steps down (I can't remember quite who it was at the time - Update....apparently it was Roger DeMontfort, NPC Prince who stepped down) and she gets VOTED in, I mean come on, Cammies actually doing the democracy thing? It's unheard of...Ok it was mainly Warks who did it but that's beside the point. There was no one else she trusted enough to give the Domain to that would have taken it and then I find out that Imrys was planning on slotting anyone but her who DID take it! Not my fault, theirs!
Kelly - Ok she didn't quite end up with the power she could have but I wasn't aiming for Ductus either. If I'd been able to keep playing her she would have had to take the Bishopric or die pretty much...That and there were a couple of her friends that wanted Jack either dead or out and her in power for one reason or another...Again, wouldn't have been the end of a scheme just me being backed into a corner.
Akhara - Well that one is all Jackie's plotting! If you like the RPG thing go check it out.
Jenet - Somehow managed to get herself talked in to becoming head of the Church of the Huntress in Flambard, not even her own country/colony although I don't think that the Milenese are much for anything that doesn't directly involve their own egos...I really must get aoroud to writing her background at some point...Anyway, the person who asked me couldn't take it on and a lot of the others prefer to stay anonymous so she winds up agreeing to be the figure head. Not to mention having "half the nobles in the New World" out looking for me on the Sunday because Lord Cyril needed to talk to me...ONE EVENT!!! And I wasn't really even looking for plot! Again with the shameless RPG plugs for any brits out there: Profound Decisions - Maelstrom LARP
Bree'al - Ok it was only her first incarnation, the new one isn't really doing much right now, but she didn't know the man she fell in love with was a King at the time or that he was going to wind up as Death (no, not dead, Death) before she married him - I hardly see where that one was my fault or hers!
Apparently though all of this doesn't matter, and Steve is kind of glad I'm not playing Iliena anymore just in case she tripped and wound up sitting on his throne! *pouts* Although he did say that I seemed fluffy and would like to get to know me which is good 'cos he's a fantastic roleplayer and also seems very fluffy.
Well, that is the end of fluffier ramblings that were scheduled for yesterday.
And one final notice: Yay Iain!
