triple_flameWow! Yay!
Yvonne rules!!!! After many months of farting about trying to make the DLA thing work we got told that we weren't getting any 'cos the guy that helped fill out the forms was an arsehole and didn't do it properly. We got to Yvonne about a week ago and ask her nicely to help.
This morning we get three cheques for back payment since the start of November, suddenly we're somewhere around a grand better off than we expected! I get to make HSBC happier with me by paying off a decent chunk of what I still owe them, we get to go buy everyone's b'day pressies, I get to put a couple of hundred back into my post office and assuage some of the horrible guilt I've been feeling about it, we get reasonable spending money for Maelstrom and we get to sort out carer's allowance for me! Wow! Yay!
The downside is the lack of ability to work but it does mean that I can start off on the college thing a lot sooner than I'd hoped and theoretically I can still do something very part time.
Will post more when my brain actually absorbs the news
