Well that's final. I just got a phone call from Deana asking for the exact reasons of my resignation, I mentioned changes in the letter but nothing specific. Explained that I don't like working with Pat, can't talk to her and don't particularly trust her as, in my experience she's two faced. At which point I got told off for not going over her head. I pointed out that I felt like she would have found out and made trouble somehow.
Apparently they could have moved me but I didn't want to be moved, I love working with Chris, just can't deal with her her. Besides, she's also involved with the other two houses and Outreach doesn't really work since I can't drive. I did mention the depression thing but I got the impression that she was more focussed on the cause of that than the effect. It's difficult to explain to someone when you don't have your feelings straight yourself.
I still can't quite work out why I'm in such a mess now, as people have pointed out it's probably a combination of things including the fact that Deana actually sounded concerned about the situation...she didn't try and change my mind but looking back at it I did make it pretty clear that it was work in general not just what I was doing.

Can't get my brain to produce any more words now but I did promise to keep people updated. No doubt I'll calm down in a few days and actually be able to make a coherent post.

I'm actually feeling much better now. I had a phone call from Sammy earlier, she'd got stuck at the office with a barrage of questions. To cut a long story short, she understands completely, will be glad to get our friendship back on track without work interfering and is happy to give me a professional reference both as my team leader and a qualified NVQ assessor. I have wonderful friends.
