Apr. 29th, 2005 12:34 amHmmm, you remember that player I was ranting about before...he's doing it again...except this time it's IC as well so I can have a go at him....
Anyone remember Alana when she lost it at someone and started waxing lyrical? Kelly never quite got to the same level but it would appear that it's rubbed off in Shei...
You know, I'm almost hoping that someone gives Jenet a reason to kick off at Maelstrom!
I posted the little IC rant here 'cos I'm kinda pleased with it *grins*

Shei'un shot an icy glare at Ghost Bear. "I was told when I was a child that one who evesdrops on the conversations of others rarely hears good of themselves. I was speaking to Swanmay.
Moreover, it is wise to be sure you understand the conversation you wish to interrupt. I was not speaking of YOUR challenge I was speaking of the purpose of the Trials of which I have been taught. She came here with arrogance to match your own and Honoured Heromy declared she should be tried while you would simply have killed her. She is Urrach-Ya but the Unconquered Sun does not choose weaklings to serve him. What we are taught of ancient times shows the danger of temporal power and the corruption of civilisation, that is why we shun it. She is of Barbarian heritage and should be treated with the respect that that deserves if nothing more."
She took a single step closer to the bear man. "I could not stand at your side in combat and hope to survive. Does that make me weak? Would you call The White Crow Who Walks who taught me and tried me a fool for allowing me to live, for giving me the knowledge of the Song Line leading to this place? Would you DARE question Mother Luna's wisdom in granting me her power?! I do not give the Sun Child the benefit of any doubt and I do not trust her unquestioningly. She has passed my trial, she has passed the trial of Stars of Dust, she has passed the trial of Celebree Silverswift; each of us has declared this."
She stalked closer once again.
"Her descent from the tree was not part of the trial! If you listened to any sound beyond your own farts in the leaves you would have heard Celebree state that Kola's descent from the tree had no bearing on her acceptance in Celebree's eyes. I have not proved myself to you - would you have let me fall to my death also? The Sun Child found her own wings and for this you would have her fail something which IS NOT YOURS TO JUDGE!?"
Yet another step, until the last was snarled through gritted teeth directly into the face of the other Lunar, his sitting position brought them almost eye to eye.
"You admire strength of arm it would seem and little more. Until YOU have proven yourself to ME I shall not trust you at my side any more than you would have us trust the Sun Child."
Through out the tirade her voice has become more forceful, each word thrown with the crashing of waves upon sand on a stormy night. Now she falls silent and takes a deep shuddering breath.
Shei'un bows to Heromy, takes up the apple she had been eating before her challenge was cast and stalks to the opposite side of the glade. There she takes up what looks like a meditative position and pointedly ignores Ghost Bear.
