triple_flameUpdateness...huh, you know that point where you sit down in front of the computer all fired up to write stuff, then realise you don't quite know where to start...I think that's the problem I've been having lately. Still am to an extent.
Anyway.
After the massive panic about kit yesterday I've just spent a highly productive 20 minutes or so ransacking my wardrobe. Not only did I find Illi's top, I also got my harem pants (cue Rhuk character), my wench pirate shirt (also ex-Illi), My virgin sacrifice dress (has to come in useful again at some point), a big BLACK floaty skirt (courtesy of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
simara I think), my harlequin top (possible Jenet costume for spring/autumn), one of my random sheer black shirts (not really kit but who cares) and the bottom halves to some of the random pj tops that I keep finding (just plain useful!). So yeah, all in all a most productive session. Now I just have to spend an hour or so up to my elbows in doing hand washing...did I mention I hate kit?!
The weekend was fantastic. The house kinda reminded me of Michael's old place, although I'm sure it was at least slightly bigger, which just made me feel at home. The constant mentions of a Doug and Jenny couple then confused me, I never did get around to asking and I don't think it could be the same one; a) what the hell are they doing back together? and b) what the hell are they doing in or around Brum? (always assuming they aren't/weren't LARPers and still live in Kent) Nope, it's got to be just the craziness of the world trying (and succeeding I might add) to confuse me again.
It's been a long time since I walked into a place like that and felt totally comfortable, I don't get that from some places here and I barely knew Nic and Dena. Maybe it's just the whole LARPer, Pagan, insanity thing, they're so similar to us in alot of ways that it's quite worrying! One thing I do know, it's going to make this event alot easier, playing with people for a weekend and not knowing anything about them is wierd, sorry, not knowing anything about them OOC...you really shouldn't know people's characters better than you do the phys reps - it's very head breaking. It's just one of those things, you get to know people, you get used to them, you start to learn where IC and OOC boundries are, it just makes everything far easier and therefore far more fun.
I didn't get particularly drunk which I was impressed about, enough that my throat died (although I don't think the singing helped that) and I occasionally didn't notice until afterwards that I hit some evil notes...ah well, most of the others were also drunk and probably won't remember :) besides, I wasn't the only one. Ooooh, and then there was Catherine...VERY cute goth girlie, for some reason she thought she recognised me, I had the same thing but we couldn't work out where it could have been, very strange...although now I think about it it could have been Sinergy...or not, I'm pretty sure I would have remembered her from some of the photos, there weren't that many girls there. It wasn't from vamp as far as we can work out, although I suppose it could have been one of the random Cam games. She was prettyful anyway and the bunches just reminded me of Jaimee which is always a good thing!
Thursday night was also good, when we finally got there. We managed to arrive at the station just when they'd popped out for a while, cue just over an hour of us panicking like anything and wondering if we should see about getting our tickets home there and then! It all worked out though. Then there was much chatter and Maelfrothage then poker and Before I Kill You Mr Bond, insane goodness. Munchkin came out before people arrived on the saturday which was also a scream. It lasted a little longer than I'm used to, we had about 8 players and the two basic expansions to the card set, again, much insanity and giggling.
Sunday when we got home, not so much fun. Ended up at GE with Muppett on the nebuliser for a while. It turns out that the Sainsbury's prawn cocktail crisps that he'd been happily munching all weekend had aspartame in them, add to that the half glass of diet coke he downed after picking up the wrong glass....very much not good! That was another panic reasonably easily sorted though, a quick call to newdoc, 10 minutes to get up to the hospital and probably about half an hour there. He's still not quite right but the steroids they've given him seem to be doing the job, just so long as he takes it a little easy at M things should be fine. Also, said steroids, icky as they are, mean his skin should be better for M.
On to today then...There has been a rather intense conversation happening in the other room for...it's got to be 2 hours now...Muppett and little Rob...I have no details but since Rob isn't talking to half the family at the moment I can only hope that it's a good thing. And now the OTHER (one of them anyway) Rob has phoned which is leading to all sorts of confusion! Probably wants to talk about what time he's picking us up on Thursday/Friday...Life is crazy!
And I appear to have a small black dot in my thumb that won't come off/out *wonders if it's a splinter or something*...Right I'm going for now, if I remember anything incredibly important there may even be multiple updates...Oooh, and the huge delay last night...her bloke had phoned, I think he stayed to provide support and shouting if things got unpleasent...

This one just seems to have snuck up on us. No matter, I've washed the pretty top and found a couple of potential corsets, now I just have to remember to pack it all and not scream too much when it's cold and icky and I would have been better off with her normal kit...
