Happier updates...yay!
Have just spent a fairly productive afternoon with simara, we kinda alternated ranting, tea and playing with swords, interspersed with a mini-crisis which was sorted easily and quickly since it boiled down to a minor misunderstanding/forgetting of certain things.

Note to people, don't spar with simara, she has a nasty habit of hitting you in the head with your own sword! Now she claims that I did the hitting myself and just had help but since it was her giving the (unasked for obviously) help I say it's her fault! There I was, all ready to pull off a nice flouncy move and she puts more pressure on her sword to try and break the parry; since I was pulling my hand back at the time, the net result was her pushing my sword into my head...her fault yes? She did make me tea though so is forgiven...The other time was just a general case of parrying and sliding blades, not really anyone's fault except the people who make slidy swords...*grins*

Exercise is good though, and a very good way of destressing, Ok so we already knew this but that's beside the point, beating on each other with swords is fun and healthy and gets rid of random frustrations with other people. Ok so does ranting about said things, I'm not entirely sure which is more satisfying but the two together make a wonderful combination. Add that to the fact that it also means Jenet and Thorne are more likely to survive a fight and it's just all round goodness, I may even get to the stage where I have the confidence to play a warrior in a live system where fights consist of more than scissors, paper, stone!...

Anyway, since her ladyship has already posted (damn her!) I'm going to get this one up now...may do more than swordfroth later.
