I finally got around to typing up the odd bit of my NaNo that I wrote at work and I was right, it came to just over 1,000 words. The good news is that I'm now all inspired and stuff...no, wait, inspired is the wrong word, it implies that I know what's coming next...motivated. Yeah, motivated, that's the one!

Hey, I was kinda curious about something. Poker has become one of the new national obsession over here in the States... is it the same in the UK? Do you ever get bored and start watching Poker championships or Celebrity Poker Showdown? I just have to know!

I don't know about it being a national obsession but Paul and I will quite happily curl up on the sofa and watch one of the FOUR poker channels we have available! We also play on occasions, don't ever let him convince you to leave the jokers in a deck!!

Well, I don't have to be bored to start watching poker. We're big fans of it in my family. Well, obviously, as my brother is wanting to go pro at some point if he can. I would NEVER play poker with the jokers in the deck. That is just wrong! I was just curious if it was as big across the pond as it is here.

Some of my funniest memories relate to American obsessions abroad. I was in the airport one time in London I beleive when a flight attendant started asking me if I knew what happened on certain American television shows. I thought it was HILARIOUS! In Ireland, they kept asking me about Dawson's Creek! lol!

Actually, I think it's funnier that the hostel we stayed at in London was offering a 4th of July meal special for all the Americans. I thought it was terribly odd to be celebrating American independence while in England. lol! I'm silly and random tonight. Sorry about that! Just tell me to shut up any minute now.
