Feb. 28th, 2007 05:21 pmWell, after one too many screw ups with work I have come to a decision. It is no longer worth the hassle of staying on at Cornerstone. I have run myself into the ground and bent over backwards to help them, yet still they treat their staff like crap and display double standards that would make a politician proud! I started work in the first place to help sort out my depression, since they've made all the changes they have I am on a higher dose of antidepressants with no noticable effect...seems to me that there may just be a connection.
I've updated my CV, well, more like re-written it, and written a draft letter of resignation. I'm just waiting for a few opinions on both and I'll put them into practice. There is one job that I'm looking at just now; a specialist hospital in Cov for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. There would still be travel involved but crazilly enough it just might be easier to get to than Cornerstone was. My other option is to take a couple of months off from actual work and put some serious work into Pryde and Honour, get it to the editing stage and look at launching my career as an author. A lot of the choice will depend on the reactions I get over the next few weeks, both from other people and my own body.
I feel scared as hell but at least I'm taking positive steps again.

Too many people stay in jobs where they are unhappy and its just silly to sacrifice your health to do so.
